Scholarship & Payment Options
Scholarship:
The SNHU Alumni Retreat team proudly offers one partial scholarship to this retreat. The $500 scholarship is awarded on a combination of needs and merit. To apply, please send a 250 - 500 word essay responding to the prompt, “Attending this alumni retreat will advance my writing career …” to megplaisted@gmail.com. All entries will be reviewed by a three-person panel consisting of a SNHU faculty member, an alum, and a member of the Retreat Planning Team. Deadline is Dec 1st 2025 and the awardee will be announced by Jan 1st 2026. We also recommend attendees check out: Grants | FundsforWriters to see if you are eligible for other grants.
Payments:
In full: Attendees can pay in-full through our website using Visa or Mastercard.
Installments: The SNHU Alumni Retreat team will accept up to five installment payments using cash, check, money order, or Venmo. For example, if an alum wishes to stay in "Silver Cascade," the alum will pay $1,675 total or $335 per month for the next five months. Email megplaisted@gmail.com for address or Venmo information. A $25.00 fee is assessed for bad checks. Final payment is due on 13 February 2026.
Cancellation Policies:
Registration for our SNHU Alumni Retreat constitutes an agreement to our terms and conditions, so please read our cancellation policy carefully.
Cancellations made prior to 1 January 2026 will receive a full refund, less Square, Visa, and/or Mastercard fees.
Cancellations made between 1 January, and 1 February 2026 will receive a 75% refund, less Square, Visa, and/or Mastercard fees.
Cancellations made between 1 February, and 1 April 2026 will receive a 25% refund, less Square, Visa, and/or Mastercard fees.
Cancellations made after 1 April 2026 cannot be refunded.
However, if the SNHU Alumni Retreat team is able to fill the canceled room with someone from the waitlist, the person who canceled will receive a full refund, less Square, Visa, and/or Mastercard fees.
Retreat Cancellation:
The retreat has a minimum enrollment of 17 alumni. If the minimum enrollment is not met by 13 February 2026, the retreat will be canceled. If the retreat is canceled by the SNHU Alumni Retreat team for any reason, all registrants will receive full refunds.
