Jo is the author of several books for children and teens. Her awards include a New York Times Editor's Choice and Notable, American Library Association Notable, the PEN New England Children's Book Discovery Award, and Bank Street College's Best Books for Children. Jo teaches writing at the Mountainview MFA program through Southern New Hampshire University. She is also an occasional guest instructor at the Center for Cartoon Studies in White River Junction, Vermont.

Mark Jude Poirier is the author of two collections of short stories, two novels, and with Owen King and Nancy Ahn, a graphic novel. His books have been New York Times notable books of the year, as well as Barnes and Noble Discover and Waterstone’s UK picks. He has published nearly thirty short stories which have appeared in Tin House, The Iowa Review, Conjunctions, BOMB, The Southern Review, The American Scholar, Epoch, The Georgia Review, Subtropics, and many other journals and anthologies. He has won an O’Henry Award and a Pushcart Prize, and his story “This Is Not How Good People Die” was long-listed for the Sunday Times Short Story Award in 2021.

Sarah N. Fisk

Literary Agent in Residence

Sarah is a literary agent at The Tobias Literary Agency, representing MG, YA, and most genre fiction and select nonfiction. Sarah is a former mechanical engineer who made the switch to publishing in 2011. They have worked in the publishing industry as an editorial assistant, author’s assistant, publicist, and art director. Sarah is a former Pitch Wars mentor, board member, and Agent Liaison. They host the podcast Queries, Qualms, & Quirks and are one of the founding members of Disability in Publishing.
